Our Facebook Page Was Hacked & Deleted. Rebuilding a Lifetime of HB Dance Academy Memories

If you’ve been searching for our Facebook page lately, you may have noticed that it’s suddenly… gone. Not deactivated. Not renamed. Completely deleted. And not by us.
A few days ago, we woke up to a message no studio ever wants to see: our Facebook page had been hacked, taken over, and permanently removed before we could even react. Years of posts, photos, videos, special moments, parent comments, student achievements, class announcements, behind-the-scenes memories, and the entire digital history of HB Dance Academy—gone in seconds.
It felt like someone broke into our home, took our photo albums, and burned them.
For a small, community-built studio like ours, Facebook wasn’t “just social media. "It was:
Our timeline of growth
A documentation of every show, exam, celebration, and milestone
A place where parents shared proud moments
Where our dancers’ journeys were recorded
Where our community stayed connected
Losing that hurts. Deeply.
But here’s the part that matters most:
HB is more than a Facebook page. HB is our dancers. HB is our parents. HB is our teacher. HB is our community.
HB is every moment that happens inside the studio walls—and no hacker can take that away.
So, we are rebuilding.
What Happens Next?
We are creating a new, secure, fresh Facebook page from scratch. It will take time to rebuild what was lost, but we will do it—post by post, photo by photo, memory by memory.
We’ll be sharing:
Throwbacks from past years
New class updates
Performance memories
Student achievements
Upcoming events
Studio culture and behind-the-scenes moments
We’re asking our HB family for a simple favor: When the new page launches, please like, share, and follow it. Help us rebuild the community that was taken from us.
If You Have Photos or Videos
If you have any photos or videos from HB events, classes, concerts, exams—anything—please feel free to send them to us. You’ll help us restore the timeline of who we are.
Thank You for Standing With Us
This experience has reminded us how strong this studio really is. We may have lost our digital history, but we haven’t lost the heart of HB. And honestly? That is the part that truly matters.
Thank you for your patience, your support, and your love. Here’s to rebuilding—stronger, safer, and more united than ever.
With love,
HB Dance Academy
